This is a fan-fiction I wrote a lot of time ago. Excuse me for any mistake, but I'm italian. Tell me if you like it (in that case I'll update it soon).
The Second Assault
The Sergeant skipped the dinner as he was not hungry. Some soldiers and he went in the Plans Room.
Urgently, the Sergeant had gathered together the best soldiers to plan a second assault to the island of the Tediz. He had not anything in mind yet, so he strongly hoped that some of the guys could think of some ideas. The Sergeant had put the board in front of the chairs, so that everyone could see it, with his wand pointed at it, ready to explain the situation.
"Hello everyone. The reason I called you is the following. We must attack Tediz again."
They looked at each other and began to speak softly.
One of them stood up and asked:
"You mean their island?"
"Precisely." the sergeant shouted, trying to restore calm.
At that moment, one of them, Mortimer, said:
"When are we going to attack?"
"Tomorrow."
Mortimer, as well as someone else, thought it was too much early to attack, as they didn't even have a ready plan. However, none of them wanted to argue.
Another squirrel called attention by raising his hand.
"Can I explain my idea?"
"Go ahead."
"I thought we should split into two squads. One attack will attack Von Kriplespac and the other one the Tediz."
"And the other squad?"
"The second one will infiltrate in the confusion, will leave the dynamite in the most strategic of the island and will blow it at a later time when we will all be as far as possible."
"The operation is risky." Kevin Gladstone yelled. "If we fail, we'll probably lose the war."
"That is true, Gladstone. But if we succeed, not only we will destroy the Tediz..."
As he spoke, the Sergeant walked up and down. He glanced out the window, overlooking the sea in a storm.
"But even their creator. We'll use the plan of..." Sergeant did not know the man's name, then brought down the silence, so that he was running to his aid presenting.
"Less, sir. Cody Less."
"Great. Uh ... thank you." The Seargeant cleared his throat. "Well, let's split in two squadrons of attack."
Meanwhile, miles away over the ocean, in an island hit by lightning and by sea, Von Kriplespac was planning something evil. Something that would wipe out the squirrels, sending them to the cemetery.
For a few weeks, in fact, Von Kriplespac had started the construction of a powerful cannon, which would destroy their bitter enemies. In a few hours the work would be completed.
The cannon was long around ten meters, and it shot bullets of a circumference of about one meter.
"Magnificent." Von Kriplespac thought in german. "Great. Zoon I can uze my gun against the bastards. And vhen I vill have won the war, I will uze my Tediz against the Panther King to free the Weasels from that asshole." He laughed.
Von Kriplespac sat down on the chair but felt asleep after a few minutes.
The next morning, he was awakened by his most trusted Tedi, Reinwald.
He had entered with joy and hurry in the scientist's office to warn him about the completion of the work of the cannon, as request by Von Kriplespac.
Von Kriplespac rubbed his hands, then he got up and followed him.
"Zplendid." he said, laughing softly. "Zplendid."
"I will need a few hours, ja, before I'll be able to bring it into action."
Reinwald looked up. "My lord, if you'll follow me, I'll show you the control panels."
They walked in silence to a door. There were many buttons and a radar.
In front of them was a pit filled with a giant fan. And beyond the grave a security door made of steel and pure zinc separated them from the beach outside.
Von Kriplespac switched the machinery on. By that night, they would have been ready to kill those damn and furry squirrels.
Kevin got up from the bed to have lunch. He was not very hungry, so he had just a sandwich. He was in his cabin inside the submarine, shared with three companions of his, about to invade the island. They had traveled all night, for several miles.
He heard someone knocking at the door. He opened to let a commander come in.
"Gladstone. Awake the others. We are going to reach our goal. You know the plan."
Of course I know it, Kevin thought, while the captain left the compartment.
"Boys." he shouted. "Wake up, we have to leave."
One of them did not hear him. Kevin came over and shook it slightly. He was still asleep.
"Until what time did he drink beer, this?"
"I do not know." said another, as he descended from the top of the bunk bed. "I told him to stop, but he didn't listen to me."
Kevin pulled him off the bed, and the squirrel woke up.
"Ouch, my head."
"Well woken up, Den." one of them said ironically.
"No sarcasm, Jake." he said offended while getting up.
"Commander Tank has come to say to get to the room below." Kevin informed them. They went to the cabin's armory and Kevin took a Sturm21.
Armed to the teeth, they came out and went down the stairs to reach the room below. There was a smaller submarine, and the quartet would have used it to reach the island. The dynamite was already inside. The four boys went inside.
"Luckily we have the autopilot."
Cody, who wanted to be sure that everything was okay, entered for last, and closed the main door loudly and joined the others.
"As we agreed, guys." Jake said looking at the clock. "In five minutes they'll drop the submarine, and we'll reach the island by forty minutes, if everything goes well."
Meanwhile, the Sergeant was giving orders to the soldiers on the bridge, explaining to the 'nth time the plan in details. He showed them some photos of the island.
"Once you get on the two amphibians found below, you will need to cut the network here." and showed the first photo, changing quickly to the second.
"You will pass defenses here." and the third image was the door installed by Von Kriplespac, that they failed to pass the first time.
"You must destroy the door. Afterwards, go and make a clean sweep. And if you find Von Kriplespac, shoot him.
Everything was going according to Von Kriplespac's plans. He needed only twenty minutes to bring the cannon in action. The only thing that he didn't think to, was the arrival of its rivals. A Tedi, Albert, had just reached.
"Lord."
"What's ze matter, now? Hope ya have a good reazon to desturb me."
"I do, actually. Landewin has sent me to tell you that he saw two boats of the HSC coming to this direction."
The scientist went on a rampage. "Send as many Tediz as you can. Keep them away from here, and by twenty minutes, I vill blow up their fur."
Albert put his hand to his forehead as a sign of respect.
"I will do so immediately."
