Well....almost back, you see, during Microsoft's E3 conference on June 9th, they had a trailer for an upcoming game titled ''Project Spark'', it's a game maker, sort of like LittleBigPlanet and Disney Infinity, where you can design your own worlds, levels, and practically your own game. So, watching the trailer for the game, towards the end, the famous video game squirrel makes a small cameo; sawing the Project Spark logo in half, his trademark, until a blue spark repairs the logo, undoing his dirty work, then he says this: ''Almost 10 years without a new game, guess we'll have to make our own!''
So Conker will be a DLC (downloadable content) for Project Spark, for Windows computers, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, I will be getting the Xbox 360 version of it when it is released.
And, at next year's Comic Con, I'm cosplaying as Conker, I've been planning it way before this.
Some notes from me:
It looks like that Conker has ditched his Live & Reloaded outfit, he's wearing his original BFD design, I'm glad, I wasn't keen on his shorts anyway, but it looks like his jacket is now covering his lower torso, making it look like the jacket's a bit big on him.
Team Dakota is making Project Spark, and hearing Conker talk, here's a fun fact; they actually got Chris Seavor to reprise his role as the squirrel.
JonTron made a video showing his reaction to Conker's cameo in the Project Spark trailer, it's hilarious.
In a way, this is Rare saying ''Want a new Conker game? Make it yourself then, because we're not making another Conker game!'' Even some of the E3 people agreed with that!
So how do you feel about this? Me, personally, my feelings are mixed, I'm glad that Conker is stepping out of the shadows after 9 years, and I honestly hope a Conker sequel doesn't happen, so making the Conker fans themselves make their own Conker game sounds pretty awesome! So we don't have to ruin the illusion that the ending of BFD built.
But I noticed all the negative reaction, including JonTron, people saying that Rare has ruined another franchise, think about it, Rare has no involvement with this, just like Killer Instinct (the new games being developed by Double Helix), Rare is clearly not caring anymore, especially after the failure of Kinect Sports Rivals, resulting in dozens of Rare employees getting laid off, including Gavin Price & Chris Sutherland (Original Killer Instinct voiceover guy & voiced Banjo & Kazooie (well, the sounds anyway)).
Like I said before, how do you feel about all of this?
